The Highlanders are back in action tonight against Odisha FC, a side which is yet to register a
win in this edition of the Indian Super League, but possess as big a threat as any other team
vying for the honours this season. Last season, both sides got the better of each other in their
respective home turfs and this pre-Christmas clash at the Bambolim promises to be an exciting
affair.
The Highlanders are winless in 3 games and the team knows that 3 points in this game will be
crucial to hold their spot in the Top 4 in the league table. Having come in at the late stages of
our last match against Jamshedpur FC, Captain Federico Gallego and Portuguese winger Luis
Machado will be vying for opportunities in this one alongside striker VP Suhair. The opposition
strike force is one to worry about for the Highlanders with Manuel Onwu scoring last time out
against the Highlanders.
Speaking to the media ahead of the game, Coach Gerard Nus signalled his intent going into the
game against the Juggernauts. "I know that we are creating chances. So I am not worried and I
know that the goals will come and tomorrow will be a perfect chance for us to prove it. I think it's
an opportunity for all of us to stick together more than ever. I'm sure that the team is committed.
We are going to be an offensive team tomorrow and go for the three points, said Nus.
Assistant Coach Alison, who joined him for the conference added that he was looking forward to
linking up with the boys and helping the team reach their goals for the season. The former
Shillong Lajong Coach is expected to be in the dugout for the first time tonight.
